Rocky Mountain

Rocky Mountain

Rocky Mountain is the shortest hike of the Fulton Chain Trifecta. The trailhead for Rocky Mountain is about 10 miles outside of Old Forge, off of NY State Route 28 between Eagle Bay and Inlet.  There is plenty of parking available in a lot that is shared with the Black Bear Mountain trailhead.  Please note that although both mountains share a parking lot, there are two separate and unique trailheads.

The Rocky Mountain trail is approximately .5 miles each way and is well used and easy to follow.  Please note that the trail is steep.  The summit is open with plenty of space to sit in the sun, have some lunch, and enjoy the amazing views of Fourth Lake and the surrounding area.
